Vermont’s capitol, in Montpelier, was the ninth capitol I photographed. It is one of the smallest capitols in the country, which befits its state and its city - Montpelier is the smallest state capital by population in the US. The building itself is topped by a beautiful gold dome which gleams against a hillside in downtown Montpelier. The interior is quaint and warm. These photos were taken in two trips, first in October of 2012 and then again in July of 2013.
