Utah’s capitol, in Salt Lake City, was the thirty first capitol I photographed. It is a grand structure set into the hillsides approaching the Wasatch Mountains, giving it an amazing backdrop from the right angle. I had to hunt down a couple of these locations; the one with the best mountain backdrop was taken from the sidewalk of an overpass in west Salt Lake. The building has an impressive beehive motif, a symbol associated with early Mormon inhabitants of the region. These photos were all taken in August of 2021.
