Wisconsin’s capitol, in Madison, was the thirtieth capitol I photographed. We visited Madison for a weekend without kids on the occasion of a family friend’s wedding, so I had a good amount of unencumbered time with this one. That means a good number of interior detail shots, most of which were taken during a festival that gave me plenty of company inside. That worked to my advantage in at least one case, with one of the coolest shots I’ve gotten - a man stationary on the stairs while another person blurs past him, courtesy of a longer exposure. I didn’t get the sunrise I wanted either, but am overall happy with what I would up with at Wisconsin’s completely symmetrical capitol. These photos were all taken in May of 2019.
