Oregon’s capitol, in Salem, was the 41st capitol I photographed. Unfortunately, we’d already booked the trip when I realized that the Oregon Capitol was closed for extensive renovations to both the interior and exterior. The interior of the historic building, which contains the rotunda, main halls, and legislative chambers, was completely closed to the public, making Oregon only the second capitol of which I have no interior photos. he exterior was fenced off as well, but I was able to work with and around that to a degree. Still, a disappointing set of photos at a building that has so much photographic potential - one on the “to revisit” list for sure. These photos were taken in July and August of 2024.
