North Dakota’s capitol, in Bismarck, was the thirty fourth capitol I photographed. North Dakota’s capitol doesn’t have much to recommend it. The central hallway of the building is reasonably nice, another art deco interior, but not nearly as impressive as those of Louisiana or certainly Nebraska. The exterior is basically just an office tower that doesn’t look like a capitol so much as an insurance company’s regional headquarters. While I got a decent sunrise, overall this isn’t my favorite set. These photos were all taken in July of 2022.
