Michigan’s capitol, in Lansing, was the twenty third capitol I photographed. The most distinctive aspect of the Michigan capitol is its tall narrow dome, which I found a little awkward but which offered some interesting angles. I got a fairly good sunset during my visit as well, with dramatic clouds and lighting while shooting from the west. Michigan has a beautiful rotunda which I was able to capture from a few angles. The grounds were under some renovation during my visit, but it didn’t impact the photos too much. These photos were all taken in July of 2014.
